SLR Season 8 PS4 Sign ups

Introduction

Welcome to SLR's PS4 F1 2020 Season 8 sign ups where we are going to our first league on this title . SLR has been in the league racing community since March 2017 where we have been able to create a great community of drivers which has created clean competitive racing and we look to continue that for season 8.

While the racing is clean its all about keeping a enjoyable league racing experience and we will strive to keep that the same for Season 8 while being able to keep the driving standards expected of the drivers in league racing.

Since the start we have been open to all drivers no matter the experience, so if you run assists you will be able to have competitive racing in our assist leagues and if you run no assists you will race in our no assist leagues and this will be all separated with our tier structure of the leagues. Racing line is allowed in our no assists leagues this season to allow the field to be closer then ever before and create great racing on track. Stewards rules

To keep the racing as clean as we possibly can this season we will be implementing a penalty points system. The incidents will be judged on the severity of the incident 1=minor incident 2=moderate incident 3= major incident. If you pick up 10 or more points you will be removed from your league and when applying for future seasons the application will be consulted by the stewards before being accepted/ rejected to the league.

Time Trial Process

The Time trial tracks will be Netherlands dry and Japan wet the time trials will be used to help with the driver placements, the top 10 from Season 7 T1 and A1 will get the option to stay in there leagues or not. For the first time this wont be the only factor in which league you are placed in we will also consider experience, past championship positions and driver skill but this is a guide to see how everyone adapts on the new game.

Evaluation Race and Preseason Testing Process

For the first time we will be using preseason testing which will be a 1 hour session 2 weeks before the first race to see if everyone has been placed correctly on there pace, the testing track will be Silverstone. The testing will also be held in dry conditions.

The Evaluation race is a race for the admins to see if everyone has been placed in the correct tier for the season and will also put the drivers race craft to the test. This will find if there are any dirty drivers in the league the stewards will be open to enquirers for this race but no punishments can be given except being removed from the league if not racing correctly. The race will be held at Spain

Team selection

Due to the planned expansion of the league with 8 tiers we will keep it simple so we will make the teams as follows - Mercedes = 1-20 Ferrari 2-19 Red bull 3-18 etc.
